Tonight a team from Fairport drove out to play against my son's little league baseball" team. Unfortunately their team only had 8 people show up to play and had to forfeit.
Since there was a bunch of kids, a baseball field and equipment the coaches decided to split the kids up and play baseball anyway. My husband acted as umpire.
I don't know why, but all the kids played better than they have all season long. Maybe they were looser and more comfortable because it didn't count? Maybe they were jsut concerned with having fun? I don't know, but the kids looked good. Hopefully we can "bottle" that for their final games on Wednesday and Saturday.
